Classes:  8th/9th Grade U.S. History/Honors U.S. History

Background/Expertise in Content Area: I have a B.A. in International Studies and an M.A. in Political Science. I’m certified in middle and high school social studies and special education. Before becoming a Baltimore City Schools teacher, I taught government and history and designed curriculum at the nonprofit Close Up Foundation in Washington, D.C.

I joined the BDS Family because…I wanted to teach in an environment where students were interested in more than just earning the credits to graduate and could develop a set of skills for their future college or career path. I was excited about the transformational aspects of the school and the emphasis on integrating design thinking throughout the curriculum.

Fun fact about me: I play several instruments, including guitar and piano.
