Baltimore Design Students Step Into Hippodrome’s ‘Anastasia’ Closet
“It’s a chance to expose them to live theater, and Thursday there was also a once in a lifetime opportunity for a group of design students. Those students had a genuine Tony Award winner come down from New York.”
Baltimore Design School fashion students earned an amazing opportunity to attend the grand production of Anastasia at the Hippodrome yesterday. Sophomore fashion students attended the production along with students from other Baltimore City high schools. Select junior and senior students that designed and created their own pieces in the weeks prior to the show had the chance to meet with Tony Award winning costume designer Linda Cho. Ms. Cho spend time talking with students about her journey to her success and what the business entails. She also critiqued the student’s work and offered feedback. Junior Kaylyn Smith, featured above, commented that the interaction with Ms. Cho was “unbelievable. I learned so much! It was truly amazing.” Click to read article from CBSlocal.
