Academics

As a unique and distinguished design school, BDS places a strong emphasis on academics. Faculty and community stakeholders focus on integrating design throughout all subject areas. This focus on design integration ensures that instruction is design-based and learning is delivered through multi-disciplinary design-led projects. Middle school includes all requirements of BCPS plus one period of design or art classes each day. High school curriculum follows the state requirements for Career and Technology Education.
