Thank you for applying to Baltimore Design School! To be accepted, students must submit a design portfolio in their desired pathway. Below are our open house and portfolio workshop dates. Portfolio workshops will run from 4:30 – 5:30 pm and will be followed by our Open House from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Students are encouraged to bring their artwork to portfolio workshops to gather feedback and support with compiling their design portfolio. Students will receive their acceptance letter in SEMS! Students must also add BDS as one of their 5 choices in SEMS, if they are a current Baltimore City Student.

Please make sure to sign up for the shadow day if you plan to attend.  

• November 12, 2025 – Open House & Portfolio Workshop – 4:30 – 6:30 pm 
• December 10, 2025 – Shadow Day, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

• January 7, 2026 – Open House & Portfolio Workshop – 4:30 – 6:30 pm 
• January 16, 2026 – Portfolio Review Day – Time slots will be sent out in early January

• April 30, 2026 – 9:00 am

*Portfolio workshops are for STUDENTS ONLY. This is a time to work on and receive feedback on portfolio artifacts.
