​Baltimore Design School is proud to announce that Ms. Erin Nutsugah, BDS’ Health & Creative Writing Teacher,  has been awarded SHAPE Teacher of the Year for 2025!

Among the many considerations for being nominated for this award are that the teacher “serves as a positive role model epitomizing personal health and fitness, enjoyment of activity, sportsmanship, and sensitivity to the needs of students; and that they utilize various teaching methodologies and plans innovative learning experiences.  Ms. Nutsugah has demonstrated these characteristics in each of her teaching positions, however she has a personal passion for motivating youth to live healthy and productive lives.

Nutsugah’s dedication and passion are reflected in her work.  “I just want to see kids live happy and full lives. Providing them with the tools to do that is vital to their mental and physical health.”

We look forward to seeing Ms. Nutsugah honored at the SHAPE Maryland Awards Ceremony on Saturday, November 15th at 6:00 PM at the Ashore Resort & Beach Club.
