Background/Expertise in Content Area: Arts Integration

I joined the BDS Family because…I’ve been passionate about our mission since the school was just an idea. As soon as I could join the team for real, I jumped at the chance! I’ve been happy and at home here for five years now—or six, if you count my student teaching with Mrs. Hucker!

Fun fact about me: Though I’m SO EXCITED to be teaching English, I spent the last four years as an art teacher after studying fashion design in college. My passion for literacy is what inspires me to teach English through the lens of arts integration!
