BDS Guidance Counselor, Mr. Shannon Hayes worked with Principal Valentine to coordinate a graduation parade celebrating the class of 2020 by visiting the homes of all 79 students to deliver their diplomas and a special gift. BDS teachers, board members and staff lead a parade of 10+ cars throughout the city for a 10hr journey to see our babies off, one last time.  Despite all of the challenges that they endured throughout their high school experience, this class secured more scholarship funding, and the most acceptances to design schools in the history of Baltimore Design School.

This class celebrated a 98.6% graduation and college acceptance rate. 50 of the 79 students graduated with college credits.  Additionally, 16 students in the graphic design program graduated with two CTE certificates in Photoshop and Illustrator, and 7 students earned 1 certificate.  56% of our seniors graduated with a dual enrollment certification, earning a H.S. diploma in addition to earning a ‘C’ or better in programs with University of Baltimore and BCCC.

We are so proud of our students, and can’t wait to see how they will go forth and ‘Design the Future’.
