These meetings are an important step in deciding where and how the school budget will be spent. It’s important that families, students and community partners engage in these sessions.

Purpose of the Priority Engagement Session

1. Provides the principal with an opportunity to share information about the school vision with their school community.
2. Offers an opportunity for general questions about the priorities and initiatives at the school to be shared and clarified.
3. Allows open and respectful sharing of views about what the priorities of the school should be and what specific measures can best further the vision of the school.
4. Provides the school community with an opportunity to give input and feedback on school priorities for the upcoming school year.
5. Provides school leaders with the opportunity to gather input and feedback on priorities from their school community to be included or considered in the development of the school’s budget.
