’23 Carrie Snowden was recognized with a ‘Dreamer’ award at the 5th annual Dream Big Contest, hosted by the Lyric Baltimore in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. . Each year, Baltimore City School students from grades 5-12 are challenged to write a 300 word essay about their personal dreams for themselves, family and community. The inspiration for the contest is Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream”
speech, and this year was expanded to include submissions of a poem, essay or video expressing students’ own vision for the future.

We are very proud of Ms. Snowden for her courage to dream, participate and put herself out there for the community be inspired by her story. Click here to watch her video: https://youtu.be/_sK8bwfsCC8
