This week was National School Counselor’s Week, and Baltimore Design School has the best reasons to celebrate.  Principal Brozene recognized the hard work, long hours and personal investment of Mrs. Lindsay Klausmeyer and Mr. Shannon Hayes, saying that “I hear […] all the time how lucky we are to have the both of them,” and we couldn’t agree more.

The students said it best though, offering their sentiments in a basked of love notes that Ms. Kaplan presented.  One student wrote to Mr. Hayes:  “Thank you for pushing me to do better…but I still do what you tell me not to.”  A group of high schoolers commented during the afternoon announcements that Mrs. Klausmeyer made sure that every student felt welcome, and even though she’s always running around the building doing everything at once…she still makes time to help.

During the month of love and valentines, there was enough to go around our rockstar counseling duet, who are truly supporting our students socially, emotionally and academically as they Design the Future.
