Background/Expertise in Content Area…

I began my journey as a School Social Worker 14 years ago.  Prior to joining The Design School Family, I worked in a variety of school settings in urban communities providing mental health services and behavioral support.  Most recently, I was part of the founding team of an amazing New York City high school where I worked to develop school-wide systems grounded in restorative practice, and daily Social Emotional Learning advisory.  Prior to working in schools, I provided psychotherapy services to children and adolescents in a therapeutic group home and hospital setting.

I joined the BDS Family because…

I was placed at Baltimore Design School by the district, and joined the BDS family because working with such a dynamic group of people (scholars, staff, administration, and families) is what fuels me.

Fun fact about me…

I was a junior zoo keeper throughout middle school and I’m a trained martial artist.
