I joined BDS family because…I joined the BDS family on the recommendation of a friend since I was unfamiliar with Baltimore City schools. I decided to work for Baltimore City schools because I like to work in urban areas where the greatest need lies. It also gives me a chance to do for my students what so many teachers did for me every day: made sure I learned something every day and showed me that adults other than family can care about my well-being and future.

Fun fact about me: I used to weigh over four hundred pounds.
