BDS Class of 2023 Closing Ceremony

8th grade students participated in their closing ceremony Saturday, June 8, 2019 when they officially became the high school class of 2023. BDS family gathered in the BDS cafetorium to celebrate students and recognize their matriculation.

Keynote Speaker: Ms. Nicole Stewart

Ms. Nicole Stewart served as the keynote speaker, advising students that “Your vibe attracts your tribe.” Surround yourself with people who will support you and continue to move you forward.

Ms. Stewart told students to keep in mind that “Unsuccessful people talk about people. Successful people talk about ideas.” Don’t get caught up in the negativity.

She closed her address with advice to follow the ‘Rule of 33’ regarding your relationships. 1/3 should be people you can mentor. 1/3 should be your peers. 1/3 should be people who can mentor and inspire you.
