To celebrate American Education Week, Ms. Cafaro-Edwards’ 6th Grade Design students visited the Baltimore Museum of Art today, and engaged with 3 exciting experiences while there!

First, they use their powers of deduction to complete an Art Scavenger Hunt where they navigated multiple galleries from Ancient to Modern Art. The scavenger hunt was carefully planned and designed by our very own fantastic Loyola intern, Ms. Greene!
Next, they went on a guided “Power” tour led by the museum educators. On the “Power” tour, students got to see the very popular and captivating “American Sublime” Exhibition by Amy Sherald.

Finally, they examined portraits, landscapes, and patterns in artworks to complete sketchbook studies and reflections of works that captured their attention.
Shout out to our chaperones – Ms. Robertson, Mr. Smith, Ms. Gray, Mr. Johnson, Ms. Hucker, and Ms. Greene! We could not have pulled this field trip off without their support and dedication!
