Bio

Background/Expertise in Content Area:  

• 20 years education
• Taught 12 years-English and Social Studies
• Eight years as a Professional School Counselor
• One year as a Assistant Principal

I joined the BDS Family because… I had no choice back in 2015, for I was placed at BDS due to a vacancy as a School Counselor.  After being gone for one year SY 21-22, I am returning to BDS because I realized that BDS is home, my home.  As much as BDS missed me, I missed them equally.  My goal is to reside at BDS, continue to build BDS as an academically viable school for those who chose to attend.  I also want BDS to serve as a safe haven for Baltimore City youth to be their authentic selves to reach their highest potentials while at BDS and beyond.  I intend to retire at BDS.

Fun fact about me:  When I was 15, I appeared on an episode of Showtime at the Apollo.  Musical artist was R&B group, Zhane.  I am in the crowd wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.  The episode is on YouTube for those interested in seeing me in my teen years.
